CityViz economic development data platform is developed and maintained by Ruby Industries Inc. whose head office is in Calgary, AB. The company specializes in delivering data products and services used by both public and private sector. It was founded in 2013 in in Kelowna, BC, by Izabela and Sasha Bogdanovic.
We are on a mission to empower Canadian communities with the best of the breed data tools they need to succeed in attracting investment, new businesses and talent.
Our inspiration stems from the first project we did for the public service, a B.C. Housing Market data visualization project. We collaborated with BC Stats and Innovate BC on this project and realized that we want to use our skills and expertise for the benefit of community, and the idea of Cityviz was born.

Sasha Bogdanovic
CEO & Co-founder
Sasha is a seasoned data expert with over 23 years of extensive experience in delivering data products across diverse industries. Committed to developing data solutions that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions grounded in factual insights, Sasha holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science. He distinguished himself as a top performer in the inaugural class of the Data Science Specialization offered by Johns Hopkins University and Coursera.
Izabela Bogdanovic
Creative Director & Co-founder
Izabela possesses a diverse professional background encompassing business administration, business psychology, user experience, graphic design, and visual arts. Additionally, she served as the Marketing and Fundraising Director at the Federation of Canadian Artists, Central Okanagan Chapter. Izabela holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Business Psychology.
Pat Leitch
Director of Customer Relationships
Pat has joined CityViz to help expand the client base of this flexible and easy to use software. In the past, she worked at a management level for Not-for-profits, Local Government (BC and Alberta) and First Nations Government. She also has experience in various other industries including legal, retail, manufacturing, tourism and public practice. Pat obtained her CPA designation in 2003 in BC. She has taken many other courses in computer science, leadership, asset management, FOIPPA, Indigenous studies and emergency management courses. Pat’s skills include financial accounting, relationship building, strategic planning, variance analysis, process improvements, software implementations, risk management and training.
