Bringing Monthly Labour Force Insights to the Local Level
We recently hosted a series of webinars to spotlight a significant development in local workforce data availability—monthly Labour Force Survey (LFS) insights at the local level.
The session guided attendees through:
- StatCan’s monthly LFS data and its strengths (including breakdowns by industry, occupation, age, and gender)
- The limitations of traditional Census and Economic Region-level data, especially in rural regions
- How new StatCan methodologies and tools, like the Local LFS Estimates, help overcome these gaps
